Tucked away inside her lavish apartment, behind the safety of soundproof walls and thick concrete, she succumbs to her deathly urges with a new victim almost every month. When forces out of her control request her presence at a fundraiser, Vivian is less than thrilled. However, things aren’t all bad as she finds herself on a collision course with the likes of Scarlett Masters, a young socialite with an interest in women like Vivian. A budding relationship with Scarlett distracts Vivian from the horrors of her job as she’s working on solving the largest human-trafficking case Chicago’s ever seen. However, when some of the suspects wind up missing, Vivian can’t help but be curious. Now, Vivian finds herself on a path she may not want to follow and in an investigation she may not live long enough to see through.
