Taylor Wyatt is a woman eager for a distraction. Fresh out of university and victim to the endless job search, Chicago's the perfect place for such, or so she thought. Between interviews, Taylor decides to embark into the world of dating at the behest of her roommate. Much to her surprise, she schedules a date with a picture-less profile named Samira on a whim. Wishing for a miracle, Taylor hopes someone exists behind the name. Fresh off the boat, recently exiled Princess Samira Al Amine of the Kingdom of Saiccia finds herself in the city of Chicago for the foreseeable future. Hoping to escape the headlines that plagued her risqué flirting in her island kingdom, she must lay low. Yet, with a black card and a sprawling city full of potential people to fall in love with, she’s not making any promises, especially after encountering Taylor. After a disastrous first date leads to a massive diplomatic incident, Samira’s visit to America isn’t going well. Too much attention and her exiled status may transform into full-on banishment. Yet, despite warnings from her royal family, Samira’s interest in Taylor doesn’t wane. Uncertain of where they’ll end up, Samira and Taylor’s budding relationship morphs as certain forces are desperate to keep them apart. No matter the struggles, Taylor is determined to end up with a princess of her own.
