Dealing with chronic illness since childhood is a drag. Being a Type 1 diabetic affects my relationships with everyone in my life. After getting dumped because of it, I've decided relationships aren't my thing; I refuse to be a burden to anyone. But when my best friend drags me on a weekend trip with his family, I meet his uncle. And now I'm wondering if he means it when he tells me I could never be a burden.
