Abby Day is a wedding singer; a broke one. Her dream is to make it to the big time and to become a star. When Abby meets a man who could give her the chance to take her singing career to new levels, Abby's band mates do not approve. This leads to arguments between them. Jack (Jacqueline) Roberts is the band's drummer. After a drunken kiss with Abby the previous month, things between the two have been strained. Abby is unwilling to admit to any feelings she may have for Jack, even though Jack knows the truth. When Marcus King begins to demand more from Abby, Jack steps in to help.
