Overview

Emma only has two cares in this world: Her best friend and herself. Sure, Lois may be her only friend, but it's not like she's ever felt the need for anyone else—even less so after figuring out she was in love with her. Beyond that, she lives a relatively carefree life: Boxing three times a week, dealing with bullies with sheer intimidation and brute force, having occasional arguments with her parents, and trying not to let the people inside her highly conservative community find out about her sexuality while trying to muster the courage to ask Lois out. Alas, nothing lasts forever. When a strange rumor spreads around school, her impulsiveness and anger lead to her suspension for an entire month, setting in motion a chain of events that will flip her life upside down.
