Jake Basilio adopts a cat in search of a companion to help with the grief over his grandmother’s death. But after he discovers an omega in his guest bedroom, it turns out he didn’t bring home any ordinary pet. Brady Addington went from a cage in someone’s basement to one at the animal shelter and now is free-range in a stranger’s house. Uncaged for the first time in ten years, he shifts back into human form, much to the surprise of Jake, the alpha who adopted him. When Brady goes into heat, these two find out they’re fated and are about to start a whole new life together. Jake is more than thrilled, but Brady is still waiting for the other shoe to drop; things seem too perfect. If they can figure out their new situation together, they might have a shot at happiness. If not, Brady fears he’ll end up back in a cage.
