Sent to a retirement camp to work out her community service Grace was ready for a relaxing summer and an easy end to her sentence.

When a fellow counselor goes missing along with one of the residents Grace is thrown into an adventure she never expected and is faced with a love she isn't sure she deserves. With Riley, a beautiful, smart mouthed and foul-tempered woman, as her sidekick Grace must find out who is endangering the campers and protect the people who have no one else to rely on.

The two unlikely companions flee into the bayou to get help for the others. Injured and pursued by those they thought were allies Grace and Riley know the only salvation they'll have is in a small town a day's hike away. Will they make it in time? Or will they be too late for the campers and each other?
