Overview

Annie Mackenzie's business is growing rapidly. The popularity of her cat sanctuary means that she requires help in running it. When she posts an advertisement in the local paper, she has no idea that it will bring someone from her past back into her life. Alex Worthers worked with Annie years ago, before she began her business. They had both worked as staff at a pub on the sea-front and has been close friends for those years. When Alex turns up at her door, Annie is stunned. She cannot believe that Alex is back and even more that she wants to work for her. In the days when they worked together, Annie had watched Alex from afar and been drawn to her intensely. She had been the object of her affection but her feelings had remained a secret for the four years she had worked there. As far as Annie knew, Alex had known nothing of her feelings for her. Annie agrees to Alex joining her at the sanctuary and they are soon rekindling their friendship from before. When Alex surprises Annie with a kiss, she must decide whether to admit how she felt about her all those years ago.
