Growing up an orphan on Hemlock Mountain did not make beta wolf, Arctic, or risk averse. If anything, he might admit he takes a tiny bit more risks than is absolutely safe. Besides, doesn’t the end justify the means? Well, they might’ve if Arctic didn’t smash muzzle first into a long line of debt to Moonscale loan sharks. Now, his only hope of not being smashed into furry pieces is to return home to the lover he ghosted. He just has to hope and pray that Zyler is filled with enough Yuletide spirit not to slam the door in his face when he gets there. When beta wolf, Zyler’s, ghosting-ex shows up at his front door pursued by draconic loan sharks he doesn’t know what to make of the situation. A smarter wolf might slam the door in Arctic’s face, but it’s hard not to catch a case of the warm fuzzies about the past when Arctic is hiding out in his house. Will Arctic’s streak of bad luck turn things around and reunite him with the love of his life this Yuletide?
