Overview

After Parker's mom manages to spend all of her college savings, Parker is forced to join the cheerleading squad to pay her tuition during her junior year. The squad is coraled together in Ellington Hall for team-building and Parker ends up rooming with the squad captain, Addison. Addison falls for Parker's best friend Chase, and Parker falls for Addison. Addison is a formerly-homeschooled, very religious, somewhat naive girl referred to as "Miss Bible Camp" by another member of the squad, Vanessa. Vanessa was passed over for the role of captain and makes no effort to hide that she's bitter about it nor that she doesn't care for Parker, who she refers to simply as "nerd" most of the time. Parker, a focused pre-med student, struggles to fit in on the team and balance practice with studying. The team is under pressure to perform well at competitions or they may lose their funding, so Parker's first semester as a cheerleader is a rocky one between trying to manage her time and her secret feelings.
