Haverwood College is buzzing over a former student’s donation of a state-of-the-art classroom and office complex, but enthusiasm quickly fades when clues to a decades-old mystery are found at the construction site. Overworked authorities place the investigation into the cold case pile. That leaves Dean of Students Ryan McCabe as the victim’s best hope for justice.

Ignoring the detectives who tell her to leave the investigating to them, Ryan uncovers evidence of physical abuse, alcohol-fueled rages and secret love triangles in the college's past.
