Julia Ramirez needs to get away from the city. She’s a world-renowned doctor whose wife has decided, after ten years of marriage, that their relationship is over.

Madeline Macintyre is just trying to please her mother by joining her and her brother on a family vacation even though all she really wants is to be left alone to run her business.

When Julia gets caught in a blizzard as she’s headed to Estes Park, Colorado she escapes freezing to death by breaking into an empty cabin. The next morning, Madeline assumes the stranger in her cabin is the nurse she’s hired to help care for her mother during their vacation. Julia plays along in order to keep from acquiring a breaking and entering charge. How hard could it be after all?

As Julia starts to have feelings for Madeline she has to decide if she wants what they have to be a vacation fling or if she will tell her the truth. The women might have a chance at a happily ever after except Madeline’s mother recognizes Julia and when Julia realizes why, she inherits a secret much larger than her own true identity and she knows Madeline will never forgive her when she figures it out.
