Sebastian and Landon were instant swim rivals at summer camp - both twelve years old and claiming to be the best. During a dumb bet, Sebastian couldn't handle the outcome, storming off and leaving Landon wondering what he did wrong. six years later Sebastian O'Donnell is competitive and loves to swim. During his senior year of high school, Sebastian had some tough decisions to make: stay in Ohio with his abusive father, swim in the upcoming season with his team, and graduate with his friends, or travel across the country with his mom to start a new life in southern California. Moving in with his uncle, who happens to be the swim Coach at Cliffside High, Sebastian knows this will be his chance to gain a scholarship and have the life he deserves. Landon Marks is the swim team captain at Cliffside High and lives and breathes everything swimming; he even has his eye on swimming for Stanford University next year. With his close-knit group of friends, Landon is staying on course to make it to Nationals and be scouted for one of the prestigious scholarships. He just can't let anything, or anyone, get in his way. When Landon and Sebastian are reunited at practice, will Sebastian's icy greeting throw Landon off his game, or will Landon double down to prove once again that he is the better swimmer?
