Life was never meant to be this way for Sammy Coulter. Fresh off a catastrophic affair with her much older boss, a hospital stint for her raging anxiety and a rock bottom that feels more subterranean, Sammy decides to quit it all. She buys a rusty blue campervan and hits the open road, looking for some sort of meaning in life.

That all comes to a grinding halt when her van breaks down just outside the small coastal town of Garlo Bay. Not believing her luck, she’s taken aback when she’s rescued by a beautiful, but indifferent dairy farmer. Beth, an amateur surfer and small-town sweetheart, couldn’t be less interested in Sammy if she tried. And boy does she try.

Stuck in Garlo Bay whilst her van gets fixed, Sammy’s days become revolved around cracking through Beth’s tough exterior.

When an unexpected crisis pushes them closer, Beth is forced to face her growing feelings for Sammy. But she’s torn—between the possibility of love and the fear of what a relationship could mean for her budding surfing career and her standing in the tight-knit town.
