Overview

Deidre "Diamond" Brown is a fiery Eastside shot caller. After a failed jewelry heist, she finds herself locked up in Rose Hill Women's Correctional with her fiercest rival, the icy Southside queen, Valentina "Vixen" Rivera. Vixen has angered Lucinda "Luca" Moretti, a butch pimp, who vows revenge.

The sworn enemies find common ground, teaming up to blackmail a lecherous guard. Soon, the hardworking hustlers are stacking their cash even while locked up. Romances bloom and flourish in the sterile, lonely prison.

Unfortunately, Luca resurfaces along with his psycho flunky, Lola, putting the ex-rivals in grave danger. Diamond and Vixen's lives, loyalty, and commitment to the hustle are put to the test. Can Diamond and Vixen make it out of Rose Hill unscathed?

Ling Walters is the pen name of a formerly incarcerated woman. She draws on her time spent in prison to create these skillfully woven narratives and true-to-life characters. Although these stories are fictional, they are based on real situations and real people. Ling enjoys writing, spending time with her cat, and arts and crafts. As a recovering addict and abuse survivor, she hopes to bring attention to the very real problems faced by incarcerated women.
