Overview

This steamy Sapphic prison romance features a shot caller, who must choose between the game and her girlfriend, and a mother who must protect her young son.

Micha “Mouse” Bredwell, a suburban mom, is sentenced to three years in Rose Hill Correctional after getting caught delivering a package of drugs. Harassed by her former dealer, Slick, and missing her young son, she is lonely and scared.

Juniper “June” Flores, a handsome shot caller, is instantly smitten with the new prisoner. Mouse rebuffs her advances. However, when the two are assigned to work at the prison library together, an attraction blooms. However, June finds it difficult to balance her responsibilities as a prison shot caller with her new relationship.

When Slick shows up at the prison, and Mouse's son, Milo, is put in grave danger, June's loyalties are put to the test. Will she choose Mouse over the hustle? Can the couple make it out of Rose Hill alive?

Ling Walters is the pen name of a formerly incarcerated woman. She draws on her time spent in prison to create these skillfully woven narratives and true-to-life characters. Although these stories are fictional, they are based on real situations and real people. Ling enjoys writing, spending time with her cat, and arts and crafts. As a recovering addict and abuse survivor, she hopes to bring attention to the very real problems faced by incarcerated women.
