Bullies I can handle. Nicholas Green is another story.

He’s stubborn, arrogant, impossible—just like he was in high school. And now we’re competing in the same industry. Of course the man who made my life miserable would go into the wedding insurance business.

Like always, Nicholas is a beast. He keeps showing up to my office like he can run me off, or maybe just to run his mouth. And despite my better judgment, I don’t stop him. Not when he walks in my door, and not when he places his big hands on my desk, leans over it, and kisses me like he’s claiming me.

Now Nicholas wants my forgiveness. He’s infuriating, intoxicating, and I don’t know if I can trust him. But I do know I can’t stay away from him.

Back in high school, I hadn’t come out—even to myself. So my crush on Michael Hall felt strange, unexpected, and wrong. I’d hoped to put that part of my life behind me, but now he’s back in town.
