Overview

The initial encounter between Gu Siyu and Huo Junxian unfolded in a stairwell where Gu Siyu leaned close and murmured, "Be with me?" Later, during a time of loss when Huo Junxian grieved her pet's death, Gu Siyu offered words of comfort, promising, "Don't be sad, I can be by your side forever." Huo Junxian was aware that Gu Siyu's declarations were insincere and recognized her flaws, yet she found herself drawn to her charming words. Unbeknownst to Gu Siyu, however, was the peril of stirring Huo Junxian's intense emotions, especially after professing eternal love.
