Overview

A rockstar romance with a country music twist! It's the 1960s - the Golden Age of country music - Darla Rae and her friends have a fun, little band, and they're hoping to land themselves a record deal with any record label that will take them. Darla also happens to be head over heels for a nice local girl named Judy. They keep their relationship a secret to maintain Darla's image, but it leads to some turmoil, especially when Darla Rae and The Licketysplits get that record deal they've been after. Will their love survive? Can they overcome the obstacles lain out before them? Will fame be too much for Darla?
