Overview

Elena breaks an age-old tradition by being the last remaining human in her family who refuses to be converted to a vampire on her 25th birthday. After thrice delaying the inevitable, she does the unthinkable by running away from home. Her betrayal sets off a hunt that spans from Romania to London where, unbeknownst to her, she finds herself on the radar of a mysterious vampire. After a dreadfully long existence, Naeria has seen her fair share of revolts and with the arrival of the French Revolution she knows that a tumultuous period lies ahead for the Continent. Instead of living through the growing violence, she decides to wait it out in London.
