Serendipity (Seren) Grace has worked herself into the ground.

When her friends plead with her to take a much-needed break away at a reclusive, secluded cove, Seren decides to go.

When Seren’s clairvoyant mother predicts she will meet someone ‘significant’ during her stay in Diamond Cove, Seren is sceptical. She believes in her mother’s abilities but has been a single rut for such a long time that she doubts the truth of what she says.

Seren arrives in Diamond Cove only to be struck by lightning on the beach.

Her saviour is Ally Diamond-the owner of the local hotel and descendent of the original founders of the cove. The two women strike up an immediate rapport and as they spend the evening together, they realise that they share common interests, and a mutual attraction. What Seren hasn’t anticipated is the effect of being struck by lightning.

The strike changes Seren in a way she could never have predicted. Suddenly, through touch, Seren discovers a psychic ability that has lain beneath the surface during her entire life. Her mother had always told her she had ‘the gift’ but she had always denied it. Seren finds herself dealing with a new love interest, a sudden psychic ability and an unexpected murder to solve through use of her gift.
