Downloading Loser
This is the summer Christian is going to learn how to get shit done. Following in the footsteps of his older friends, he’s ready to graduate from petty crimes to more serious offenses, until a stolen wallet leads him on a different path. Inside, he discovers a mysterious message: “If you’re reading this, I am gone.”
Gripped by a confusing sense of responsibility, Christian seeks out Gabriel, the wallet’s rightful owner. If he can just make sure Gabriel is okay, his conscience can be cleared. He befriends Gabriel as a means to an end, but beneath the guilt a brand new feeling builds at every smile and wink the long-haired boy throws his way.
Each encounter with Gabriel puts Christian at risk— and not just from the cops. The more time he spends with Gabriel, the more he begins to question his friendships, his loyalties, and the kind of life he wants to live. Will he get the chance to change, or will Gabriel discover who he is and force him to face the consequences for his past actions?
