Downloading And Finally. . .Love
Bored and tired of her celebrity status and the fast life that accompanies it, Jamie Kerrington, former Olympian skier and trainer to the stars, takes a break from her hit TV show to buy and renovate an old house in the canyons overlooking LA to escape and regroup. Though a much sought-after Hollywood power dyke, true love has eluded her for years. In fact, she has sworn off women for awhile, tired of that hunt, and plans instead to focus her attention on the necessary restoration of her 1920’s Craftsman-style beauty and, on the advice of a dying friend, finding her new passion.
Told that her new home would require the expertise of specialist, she agrees to accompany her longtime friend and confidant Danny, a contractor, to a fundraiser for Habitat, to meet a restoration guru capable of guiding the work on her home, one Alexis Cannon. Expecting an Amazon in a tool belt who wouldn’t tempt her from her exile, she is shocked to learn that the guru was the very straight, adorable little pixie she’d hit on and offended earlier that evening!
Now in the position of having to apologize for her earlier gaff in hopes of hiring the pixie as her new contractor, she swallows her pride and her raging libido for the sake of her house.
Intrigued by the idea of restoring the house, Lexi, a single mother, accepts Jamie’s apology and agrees to come see the house and offer help. But there’s much more to that interest than meets the eye. Something about Jamie touches a place buried deep down within her, a place her straight life and her self-imposed celibacy has been unable to reach or satisfy. No, the thought of a woman never crossed her mind. . . until now.
Can the restoration of a house bring these two disparate lives together and fold them into one?
