Claire Miller's life hasn't been her own since she found herself raising her niece at just twenty-one years old. Now thirty, Claire realizes how much she's given up to ensure her niece had all the love and support she needed.

When Claire's sister returns for one of her infrequent visits, Claire takes the opportunity to escape and hike the Manitou Incline, one of the most challenging hikes in Colorado.

If Claire regrets missing out on her twenties, she regrets hiking The Incline even more. Until, that is, she eyes a younger butch on the trail and find a far better way to regain her sense of self.
