This is a poetry book describing my own personal journey of becoming caught in a toxic relationship, the absolute heartbreak and hurt when it ended, and my attempts to heal and move on. It starts off with unresolved feelings and moves toward a peaceful and happy ending as I met people along the way who helped me grow and see what love truly is.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the book demonstrates that sometimes, in order to find and appreciate higher love, you must first experience the pain of selfish love.
