Yesterday they let me know you died. Your heart had finally given out. It had endured so much, and it could not take it anymore. Death’s embrace lulled you to sleep, and you probably didn’t even realize it.
To be honest, I’m not sure if I would have liked waking up next to you, only to find you lifeless, sleeping forever. Even so, I am sad for not having been by your side.
I am so sorry that you will miss our daughter’s graduation ceremony. You know she adores you and that you are the mirror she looks in; she will be a great surgeon, just like you. Thank you for being the best father for her and the best husband to me.
