It’s the start of a new football season, and Aubrey West is optimistic. It’s the first full season with Aubrey as majority owner of the Atlanta Redbirds, and she’s confident that she’s taken the necessary steps to transform the franchise and give Atlanta it’s first winning season in five years, despite the constant media attention on her every waking move. But a part of her is missing, and every time she opens her social media, she see’s London—whom she hadn’t spoken to since winter—and her new woman. Summer is over and London LaRue has moved on—to someone who isn’t afraid of marriage—but she can’t seem to escape her ex-girlfriend Aubrey showing up on every television and billboard in Atlanta. The city has Redbird fever after drafting Heisman winner Jason Jones with the number one pick, and although they haven’t spoken in months, London can’t help but be happy to see Aubrey’s dreams for the Redbirds and the city finally come to fruition. Even though she’s happy in her new relationship, London secretly wonders how things would have turned out with Aubrey had she not been so eager to lock her down. And when a scandal hits the Redbirds mid-season and provides Aubrey with her first major test as owner, will the team rally around her decision? And is she on the verge of losing London forever?
