Kerry Pickering has a problem. Part of his job as a publicist's assistant is to keep Hollywood bad boy Jericho Knox in the news. So far, Jericho's very public escapades on the arms of every pretty girl in town have made it easy work. But Jericho has a secret, and when that secret comes out in the most spectacularly disastrous way, his team is left scrambling to do damage control.

They decide the best course of action is to make the public fall in love -- with Jericho's secret fiancė. The one that doesn't exist. Yet. The team wants someone they can trust. Someone in the inner circle. Of course that someone is Kerry.

Kerry thinks Jericho is a gigantic jerk. Hot, but a jerk. But he knows that look on his boss's face, so he says yes. Reluctantly. Eventually, Kerry realizes that Jericho isn't actually a jerk -- at least not once he trusts someone. And that for Kerry, the romance is no longer pretend but becoming realer by the day.
