Leyland liked to think he had built himself a respectable life.
Budding career as a writer, downtown apartment with a terrace, boyfriend who might propose soon…check, check, check.
Life was good.
Until it wasn’t.

Surprisingly, being betrayed by someone he thought loved him didn’t bring the devastation he expected, but finding himself alone, homeless, and crashing on a friend’s couch left him feeling lost. To clear his head and finish his book, Leyland finds himself on a solo trip to the woods of northern Minnesota where he discovers more than he expected.

Colin has had it hard all his life, but as he treks through the woods and struggles to make it to shelter before a blizzard hits, he wonders if this is the thing he doesn’t survive. Injured and weak, he is chased by not only the frigid fingers of the storm but also by the demons of his past. The last thing he expects to find deep in the woods is a spunky, courageous, and confusing man. Layland stirs something in Colin he's never experienced... but doesn't hate.

Leyland and Colin's journeys unite in a struggle for survival then morph into a fight for an unforeseen attraction that has the potential to be much more if they can make it through the storm.
