Downloading The Mermaid: A Fairy-tale Romance

The lake is so peaceful, and it’s my favorite place to be. This is where I reflect on the past or just get lost in the present. I love the water. I grew up in it. How could it not be at the center of my decision when I was choosing a place to live? No one comes to my side of the lake and my neighbors are far away with trees and other plant life between us, creating the privacy we all need.

I can see the beautiful water from my kitchen window and sometimes I find myself standing there just admiring it. Imagine my disappointment when a woman swims her way into my part of the lake, something I had never seen in the three years I have been living here. She knows that she should not be here because she is upright in the water looking at me. I hold her stare, hoping she would see how angry I am. Then suddenly, she turns around and dives in an unnatural way sending her beautiful blue tail in the air!
