Kimmie and her childhood friends reunite for her best friend, Marisa's engagement. A group of kids, on the playground that grew up together, looking out for each other, protecting one another. Kimmie's biggest protector was her brother, Jay. So, she thought. During the celebration of the newly engaged couple, Jay's anger got the best of him, and he beat Kimmie nearly to death.

What comes out of all this mess leads to even more secrets, sadness, and demise of a family that was once a unit, but no longer.

Jay doesn't like his sister's girlfriend (Lara), was let go from his job, now is in jail for an assault on his sister. Lara is fired from her job, evicted from her apartment, and Kimmie broke up with her. How will this end? Will Kimmie ever realize Jay was never the one on her side?
