Abby went to California with so many dreams, and like so many young girls before her, she got chewed up and discarded. Abby retreated to the far corner of the world to lick her wounds and grow strong once more.

As Abby MacKai retreated to heal her heart, Hazel Fillmore fled the rural life for the big city. She wanted a taste of freedom, but sometimes freedom can have a bitter taste.

Eventually Hazel abandons the western city the rocky shores of the east, where she hopes to pursue her photography, as well as regain her sense of true self.
