My name is Peter Gravlock, and three years after being crowned king, on the day of our son’s birth, my husband, Magnus, has stepped down as ruler of the Wolf River Kingdom. We all should have seen this coming. My other husband, Neil, and I knew that Magnus would hand over the crown eventually, but none of us could have imagined Magnus’s timing would have ended up being as bad as it has turned out to be.

Because Magnus isn’t the only king that has just lost his throne. In fact, after only three years of peace and prosperity, the frontier already stands on the brink of war as new leaders rise to power and alliances are called into question. But which of the new kingdoms are our friends and which are our enemies?

We’ll soon find out as the leaders of every nation in the frontier come together in New Hope to celebrate the coronation of our new king. But will every leader and every kingdom make it out in one piece or will some of us lose the things we love the most to treachery?

Fathers and Sons is the first book in a new series, Kings and Kingdoms. It follows the Peter and the Wolvesand Sons of the Cities series. All books in these three series should be read in order, beginning with Peter and the Wolves.
