Cam’s freshman year concluded with her winning many conference and national honors for her performance on the softball diamond, but the team failed to make the National Tournament in Oklahoma City. An injury to Tab’s arm and a miraculous game-winning catch sent them home to Baton Rouge. To ease their disappointment Tab, Cam’s lover, booked a trip to the tournament for Cam and herself, to experience the thrill of the competition and to give them additional incentive for their next season. Their trip to the tournament was a dream come true for Cam, and even though her beloved Tigers weren’t in it, she was excited and even more stoked for next year’s season. She vowed to get in better shape over the summer and do everything she could to make sure the team made the trip next season.
