Martina hates Christmas.

Throughout her life, things have gone wrong at that time of year, and it can't be a coincidence.

When the company she works for decides not to renew her contract and catches her boyfriend in bed with another woman, her whole world collapses.

She clings to her friend Vicky like a lifeline. She has always been by her side ever since they were little girls.

All Martina wants is a happy life. A new job and a partner who is genuinely in love with her. Not much to ask for.
