Years ago, at a carnival, Alpha Bear, Nem, was told that a spirit followed him around. He never really gave it a second thought. Fortune tellers are all about the mysterious, the absurd, and just making their bucks, right? He walked away with a funny story to tell, but when he arrives in Heartville to meet his newborn godson, Prince, the pack’s seer keeps giving him dirty looks that don’t go away after he meets his true-mate in the woods.

Omega wolf, Cedar, believes he’s cursed. Perhaps it’s carried over from something that happened during the War of the Wildlands, or maybe his captors did something magical to him that he didn’t know about. Either way, months after he’s saved and set free, he still faints anytime he feels any real emotion. He’s decent enough at hiding it. At least, he was until he met his true-mate, Nem. No one can ignore their emotions when they meet the person who sets off their true-mate response, but Cedar just wants to live a normal curse free life.

Together Nem and Cedar are haunted by the past, by Cedar’s curse, and by Nem’s ghost. Will love be enough to overcome the unseen things that haunt these true-mates?
