Overview

River Wheeler, an 18-year-old intersex student, embodies a free-spirited nature. Yet, the trauma of her unconventional birth has left her scarred, manifesting in anger and indifference. Principal Carol Stephens and counselor Katherine Spence perceive beyond River's facade, recognizing her underlying kindness and compassion. As their bond deepens, affection blossoms between the two women, intertwined with their growing affection for River.
