Overview

Things have changed. No longer do humans reign supreme in the hierarchy of existence; the rosy perspectives Lily held as a child are long gone. In this new order, to live is to dwell in constant dread, shrinking from the creatures that dominate the globe, each night a silent plea for dawn. Yet, Lily's fearlessness defies the prevailing norm. It is under the cloak of darkness that she is suddenly torn from her existence, as effortlessly as a bloom from its stem.
