The government has mandated sex changes for half of the country’s males and created strict gender roles to ensure that traditional family dynamics are maintained throughout the country. When Yi and his “wife” Ling discover the first biological female in over a few decades, their lives are suddenly changed as they navigate through the nuances of gender dynamics in their society and culture.
