Overview

Valerie Metz is a good cop. She keeps her thoughts to herself and is constantly on the lookout for trouble. She is cold and calculated in her day-to-day life. Still, she can’t always be robotic. Even the best officers need a break from keeping law and order.

When she has a chance to spend a weekend indulging her best friend’s fantastical side, she takes it. Together they commit to driving six hours to reach Dragon’s Vale, the Renaissance Fair to end all fairs. A genuine fantasy town, complete with taverns, quests, monsters and heroes from every walk of life. It’s not exactly Valerie’s speed, but it’s all worth it to spend some quality time with her high school friend.

The costume design company, “Precociously Pixie”, has been in operation for almost a year. Sole proprietor, Patsy “Pixie” Rowan, is ecstatic for a new rush of business by participating in Dragon’s Vale. It’s the perfect place for someone as obsessed with the medieval fantasy genre as she is, as well as a great place to do some networking. More than anything, she’s excited to bring Val, her best friend she loves so dearly.

But what happens when the two hit a few speedbumps along the way? Will their friendship hold up, develop into something deeper? Or will the underlying threat pull these polar opposites apart?
