Jenna and Randi can’t wait to wed—if murder doesn’t get in the way. On a lovely spring day, Jenna enjoys a walk in the park with her fiancée, Randi, and their dog when she’s called to investigate a fatal car crash. More than suspicious, the circumstances point to murder—a case the lieutenant detective has a week to solve before she and Randi’s marriage and honeymoon. As if Jenna’s emotions weren’t already overwhelmed enough, wondering if her parents would attend, she now has the added stress of discovering her victims were a newlywed couple. It will take all of Randi’s empathic skills to hold Jenna together as she dives deep into the investigation, reawakening old demons and fears. While the list of suspects in the case grows, Jenna puzzles over a clue that doesn’t seem to fit any of them. All the while, her wedding day creeps nearer.
