Overview

Miranda and Jenny work in advertising for a trendy theatre in downtown Vancouver, but Miranda dreams of making art, not ads. Unfortunately, she’s held back by a crushing lack of self-confidence. That same lack of self-confidence causes her take an immediate dislike to the theatre’s new HR coordinator, a sexy, confident, younger woman named Lily. As the annual Halloween masquerade party draws nearer, Miranda and Lily’s animosity grows, while Jenny tries to keep the peace – all while pursuing an elusive but beautiful bartender at her favorite pub.

During the party itself, Miranda is surprised to meet a funny, pretty stranger whose costume compliments her own. Meanwhile, Jenny, dressed like a goofy wizard, is horrified to discover her favorite bartender working at the party. But nothing goes to plan that night and, after getting drenched by a burst pipe, Miranda finds herself back home with some unexpected company, while Jenny, despite the robe and beard, has finally gotten lucky.
