Trouble was that deep down, she was still that girl. She’d become the kind of woman she’d always hated back then. She still had desires though, desires for something more. She didn’t want the kind of life her mother had had, the kind her mother had always expected her to have. Furthermore, she didn’t want to be contented with such a life. For that was when the fire went out permanently. Accept the life that you didn’t want and they’d got you. That wasn’t going to happen to her.
