Grace Ryder has been murdered. A truly pitiful start to her story. But in a twist fueled by resentment toward life itself, she finds herself resurrected. Sure, in this society being a resurrected carries a massive social stigma, but there are some benefits too! In addition to not being dead, Grace has been gifted the rare powers of a composer, which allow her to wield sound as a weapon against the malevolent god-the Silence-and its devout minions.

With her plushy guardian Octavia by her side, Grace must harness the music within her to save those infected by the void, seek vengeance against her killer, and, perhaps most importantly, discover a life that would be worth dying for. If there's time, maybe she'll even manage to talk to that girl she's had a crush on forever... Nobody knows what gave Grace the strange second shot at life, but as long as it's entertaining, does it really matter?
