Andie lived what many would consider a good life. Good job, benefits, a thriving side gig, friends. But something deep inside bothered her about her “good” life. She was being buried. Between the dull work of an office gig and the seemingly endless reliance on money, she was getting sick. She goes to work, comes home, works some more, then goes to bed. Her entire life a hamster wheel that could trip her and send her flying uncontrolled in an endless loop.
Julie is a woman who’s ambition leads her along like a leash. Ignoring work when she can, depriving herself of free time when possible, holding her life back. All for the sake of the rush. The screaming crowd chanting her band’s name. No paperwork, no Monday morning meetings, no one looming over her desk. Just her and the crowd. But Julie always was the type to forget that no matter how high she wanted to jump, real life was always the gravity that pulled her back down.
The two meet by chance. Julie’s guitar player can’t play any longer. On stage, the band asks if anyone in the crowd can play. And Andie is the only one who came backstage that was good enough to meet Julie’s standards. Andie feels the rush and becomes hooked and Julie tries over and over to get her out of the office. But Andie can’t break the binds she made herself for fear of losing what she has. Two stubborn women, committed to their troubles, trying to make the other one move.
