At her wedding, as everyone she knew and loved looked on in disbelief, Elizabeth Morgan’s fiance revealed he was in love with someone else. Not some stranger, but her maid-of-honor, and she was pregnant. Altering the future Elizabeth had been planning for years.

The humiliation lingered years later. Which might have been partly Elizabeth’s own fault since she picked up a pen and wrote down her feelings. Which helped, except she couldn’t really end her story on her humiliation, so added her own spin of returning to her hometown for a little revenge by falling for her boss and having her ex want her back. But that’d only been fiction.

She’d never wanted that story published at all, since she had others to choose from, but she needed something big to keep Shelby Rockingham, literary agent extraordinaire working with her, so she agreed to publishing that story, that book, about the worst day of her life. But what could she do? She hadn’t written in months and couldn’t let Shelby know.

Much to her annoyance, the book was a raging success. So much so that they were now making a movie about it. A movie that was being filmed in her hometown, a place she had just another reason to ignore. A place she hadn’t been to since that awful day.

As the minutes ticked away without adding a word to a page, Elizabeth’s running out of time with her agent. When Shelby finds out, she would wash her hands of her. Movie or not.
