Sharronne hesitated, then slowly reached for the clasp of her cloak. Her trembling fingers fumbled with the clasp for a moment before it came free. She dropped her cloak to the floor.

“There!” Shahallan smiled. “As a true centaur should be.”

But, standing off to their side, Arky did a double-take and froze, his mouth hanging open.

When Gennara was saved from savage bandits by a mysterious centaur woman, she hardly expected to fall in love with her savior. Although his sneering smile never wavered, Gennara saw once again the flicker of fear in Belyan’s eyes.
