Overview

Kanan Pavra moves to a tiny town in the middle of nowhere to escape his own heartbreak. His partner and Dom, Jeffery, dumped him without warning, leaving him penniless and homeless. Refusing to stay in Denver, old friends send him to live with new friends to start over again. As he works and tries to get past his pain, he starts to see a man paying attention to him, but his misery keeps him from reciprocating.

Mayor Kendrick Belish, Rick to those close to him, has had little luck in love. His first wife died in childbirth, and his second left soon after she'd had his second child. With two kids to raise, a business, and a town to run, he was much too busy to analyze his strange feelings for the new man he noticed one day at the diner.
