Overview

FFM. I’ve spent my entire life being forgotten. My parents only parade me when it’ll suit them, showing me off as a prize. The only people who truly see me for me is my dad’s best friend and my stepsister. My life is split between living in the light and happiness, and the pain that comes when I lock my door at night. My stepfather is a chameleon in how he can smile with love at Bronwyn, and then breaks into my room once my eyes are too heavy to stay open. I’ve tried to protect the people I love, but it’s just too hard. Now, I’m homeless, alone, and think about Jack and Bronwyn every day. I wonder if they’ll forgive me for running, if they’ll be able to connect the dots to what was happening to me. I need to leave Detroit, give myself a clean break, but I need money to be able to do that. When a man offers me the opportunity to change my life, I decide to take it. It’s just sex, and I’m already broken into a million pieces. I figure one more thing won’t matter, no matter who ends up being my buyer.
