Vanessa Hunter is a plastic surgeon who specializes in female enhancements. Drop-dead gorgeous by nature, she’s always been infatuated by the idea of helping people feel better about themselves. Lately though, it feels like something has been missing from her life and she sets out to find it.

As the single mother of a daughter with a cleft lip and palate, Luciana jumps on the chance to get a discounted surgery being offered by an American surgeon who is visiting Colombia. She doesn’t count on falling in love with the doctor, but that’s exactly what happens.

Unfortunately, a civil war is brewing on the horizon and foreigners are no longer welcome in the country. With their romance torn upside down by riots and threats, Vanessa and Luciana are forced to make a difficult decision. Safety or love, which is the most important? Will this break apart something special?
